Diane's Bride: Hannah & Jake

In the quaint town of Double Springs, AL - nestled just inside the Bankhead Forest - you will find a beautiful venue called The Barn at Shady Grove. This romantic escape, featuring magical scenery & a massive chandelier was the perfect spot for Diane's Bride Hannah and her love Jake to tie the knot.

Hannah's main goal on her wedding day was to be comfortable while also looking good. She found her perfect wedding style in Essense of Australia style #D3305 - a super sleek fit-&-flare gown with an elegant train for a jaw-dropping walk down the aisle. Her dress kept her comfortable with a soft stretch crepe fabric while accentuating her figure in all the right ways. The stunning train featuring fabric covered buttons was her favorite feature of her gown & really made our beautiful bride feel complete.

Tell us about your Love!

My husband and I met as teenagers in high school. He was actually my first (and only) long-term boyfriend. We spent most of the past few years long distance with him being in the military and stationed out of state and me being in college two hours away from home. We actually thought at one point that he might be deployed overseas still when we were supposed to be getting married!

The Wedding Day!

We wanted a very simple wedding day and decided to forgo some of the typical traditions. The funniest part of our day is when my brother in law squeezed into a wedding dress for a fake first look. My husband was sooo nervous which made his reaction to this priceless. My favorite thing we chose to include in our wedding is instead of saying our own vows (because I would’ve passed out trying to do that in front of everyone), we wrote a letter to each other and read them after the first look.
